Systems Administration
Home Lab Setup
Self-hosted home lab running Linux servers, Docker containers, and automated backups. Built for reliability and learning.
Overview
A self-hosted home lab environment for running personal services, experimenting with infrastructure, and keeping skills sharp outside of work.
What I built
Multiple Linux VMs managed with scripts, containerized services via Docker Compose, and automated backup routines running on cron.
Lessons learned
Automation is worth the upfront investment. A good backup strategy is the most important thing you can build.
